Your Role

As a Production Preparation Specialist, you work on both new construction and modification projects for submarines and surface ships. You create work orders based on production data and plan for efficient production execution within the capabilities and processes of the production facility. The completed preparation is handed over to production, and when it is time to start manufacturing, you provide support during the startup phase. Your daily work involves several cross-functional interfaces, and your day-to-day activities include continuous coordination with production personnel, as well as dialogue with Technical Preparers, Production Technicians, and Designers.

In your role as a Production Preparation Specialist, you have broader knowledge of the interface between design and production. This means you can perform standard preparation tasks, but also create production adaptations of 3D data, assist in trial assemblies, and implement various improvement initiatives.

Your Profile

As a person, you are curious and relationship-building, with a drive to find solutions that optimize production work. We are looking for you with a genuine interest in technology and who understands the importance of interacting and working cross-functionally to find the best answers to complex problems.

The following are considered requirements:

• Ability to correctly interpret and read drawings/data and requirements
• Good communication skills in Swedish and English, both verbal and written
• Strong technical interest and a curious approach
• Post-secondary technical education or equivalent work experience

The following experiences are considered meritorious:

• Experience within the marine, process, or manufacturing industry
• General knowledge of materials
• Skills in creating digital production data, e.g., STEP files
• Experience working in ERM or similar business systems
• Participation in large-scale, complex development projects and operations

The position requires you to undergo and pass security clearance checks according to current regulations. For positions where Saab requires security classification, citizenship requirements may apply in certain cases.
